Three for February - Card One

This month I've decided to work with one of the many gorgeous stamp sets I have in my collection.  It's from Imagination Crafts and features a lovely little bird, birdhouse, leafy branch and a couple of sentiments.  It's a wonderful set that would be suitable for lots of different occasions.

There are lots of interesting techniques you can use when stamping, from heat embossing to stamping on fabric.  This month I'm going to focus on colouring mediums and will show you how one stamp can have many different looks depending on the product you choose to colour with.

First up - alcohol markers.
Alcohol markers (e.g. Copic markers, Spectrum Noir, Sharpie, etc.) are wonderful when you want to achieve a bright, clean result.  They blend well, provided you use the correct paper, and now come in a huge range of colours for every imaginable project.  Not only do they look fabulous with coloured images, but they have the bonus advantage of being capable of colouring non-porous surfaces such as rhinestones, brads, metal and plastic.  You can use them to recolour embellishments and personalise most other items.

And here's my completed card.
