Scrap Card #17

This is another of the images that Mum and I coloured using distress inks.  We started out by embossing the stamped image in white, applying a liberal amount of water directly to the paper and then using a brush to add colour.  The white embossing keeps the image looking lovely and soft, but we had to be careful to add in plenty of dark and light contrasting areas so that portions of the image didn't get lost.

Hi Beccy, just beautiful! your Mum and you are very clever...the colours are wonderful and really match well with your "New Years resolution" back ground. I must start using the white embossing more often as it certainly does give a lovely soft outline. Janelle x
